Amanoka Villa, whose name in Indonesian means “peaceful home”, is a luxurious creation located in Discovery Bay, Jamaica. Amanoka’s imaginative architects used only materials of the finest quality and – like the villa’s name – were inspired by an East Asian design style. Much of the Amanoka’s features, including its rich wood ceilings, are authentic and imported from Bali.

Step through the inner gateway to Amanoka and be swept into a completely different world. Guests make their way to the main house through a fragrant and beautiful garden with fish pond. The entry hall, always decked with fresh flowers, welcomes you across the garden’s bridge into a vast entry hall. Continuing on, one finds the infinity pool and open-air Balinese pavilion, both with views overlooking the waters of Discovery Bay.

Amanoka’s main pavilion houses an elegant living room, dining area, entertainment and lounge room, and 3 of the villa’s 6 bedrooms, each designed to a different style and all with en suite bathrooms.

Amanoka’s additional 3 bedrooms are located within the beautifully-appointed annex, which connects to the main house via a landscaped interior courtyard. The annex bedrooms are equally distinct and also have en suite bathrooms. All open onto private balconies or terraces with lovely views of the gardens and bay. Amanoka’s fully-equipped and air-conditioned fitness room can be found next to the annex’s ground floor bedroom.

A quick stroll through Amanoka’s landscaped exteriors brings you to a private sandy beach with waterfront gazebo. The shaded gazebo is the perfect place for an afternoon drink or relaxing massage. Meals can be prepared al fresco on the professional outdoor grill and kitchen facilities. Guests of Amanoka may also use the villa’s 3 kayaks and Sunfish sailboat.

For your convenience, the villa’s bedrooms, main living areas, kitchen, and staff quarters are connected by a telephone and intercom system.

Additional Information Each day begins with fresh-squeezed orange juice and fresh-ground Blue Mountain coffee, fruit, bagels and muffins on the verandah buffet, followed by full breakfast when all guests are ready. Extraordinary lunches and memorable candlelight dinners are served on the al fresco verandah or waterfront deck. Cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres are offered each evening around the verandah bar. The chef will also plan a torchlight beach party with chicken, chops, steaks, fresh fish or lobster served sizzling from the outdoor coal grill. Because cuisine at Amanoka is extraordinary, the typical grocery budget here is $50 per adult per day, $25 per child per day. The professional outdoor barbecue and food service facility allow guests to enjoy outdoor prepared meals as well as those from the fully equipped kitchen.
